hey guys, just wanted to share my thoughts since its kinda slow here at work. please read on. . . i purchased my z exactly 1.5 years ago. it was a 1990 with only 16.5K miles on it. at that time, i really couldn't care less if it was a NA or a TT cuz all i wanted was a z. i still remember the first time i saw the z and fell in love with it. . .my neighbor bought one when i was in junior high school and i would pass by it every single day on my way to school. well its been a 10 year dream for me to get one and when i found the perfect condition z, i just jumped on it. after riding around for a year, i am very pleased with it. however, i dunno if its just human nature but i quickly got used to the speed of the car and now think its relatively slow. i keep rationalizing to myself that the NA is a great car and that i don't really NEED a TT. but i'm coming to a realization that a sports car (or a GT if you wanna call it that) should be able to go faster than a maxima or a TL or an integra. . .not just keep up with them! it seems like all the cars coming out now are hitting 15.0's easily, which means that the only thing the NA has going for it is probably the looks of the car. hmm. . . but even at this i'm a bit hesitating cuz i've heard countless TT owners say that they got used to the speed and it feels slow! i mean, can this really happen in a mid 5 second car? human nature is just a wierd thing. i just keep suppressing the notion of getting a TT cuz i would have to give up A LOT. . .the low mileage, the unique color, the proven reliability (no major problems so far), the excellent condition inside & out, etc. all just for speed? tough thing to weigh. can boost be THAT addicting? sorry to rant on about this. just a bit bored over here and wanted to get this off my chest...
